The Value

I’ve seen too many sad stories or anecdotes made to make a message clear to its readers. I found something with no drama involved but only consisted of simple, clear, day-to-day practicality that goes unnoticed to most of us. Please read the short story below.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, “Who would like this $20 bill?”
Hands started going up.
He said, “I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this.” He proceeded to crumple the dollar bill up.
He then asked, “Who still wants it?”
Still the hands were up in the air.
“Well,” he replied, “What if I do this?” And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe.
He picked it up, now all crumpled and dirty. “Now who still wants it?” Still the hands went into the air.
“My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20.
Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way.
We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. You are special – Don’t ever forget it!
Nose Tricks
Give credits to the Japanese when they do something so ‘artistically funny’ it’s a masterpiece!
Watch the video below about giving Nose Art and this does not include the typical “paintings” or “markers” to doodle on skin. This is an ingenious way to making the most out of our nasal feature to create ingenious common visuals.
As a comment from youtube stated, it’s so bogus it’s entertaining. XD
Life is like an Ice Cream Drumstick
I had quite a conversation with a friend a few days ago. I just showed to her this blog and she said “Why don’t you make an article about life being similar to a drumstick?”
Then I went “Eh?”
This was how the rest of the conversation went (via YM).
HER: you have to tear the wrapping, start munching away and licking the sweet, heavenly coffee caramel ice cream…
… and that’s not the best part yet
ME: ows? so what’s the best part?
HER: until you get to the cone, crispy and sweet and until you reach at almost the last part of the cone…
… you get a bite of this not too sweet but magnificent bite of a chocolate filling embraced by the cone
… like life.
You think you got the best already… think again as there’s more to come…
Cute isn’t it? :D
