Spring is finally here! Winter is going away (well, not for Game of Thrones) and people are coming out of winter quarantines to finally enjoy activities without the minus temperatures.
To start of our non-winter activities, we enjoyed a state-of-the-art Augmented Reality exhibit at Downtown’s The Core. INDE, a UK-based technology provider, partnered with The Core so shoppers of all ages can get up close and personal with Augmented Reality (AR) characters such as animals, an astronaut, and dinosaurs.
Shoppers will appear on a screen next to the AR illusions, creating unique memories, which you can later on download as video/photo formats via a link. You just have to remember what time you joined in the exhibit to later access the shots you want.
This Augmented Reality installation will happen all through April 2019, during mall hours. It is located at the second level glass bridge by The Body Shop.
Check out some of our family’s favorite AR moments below.
The Dinosaurs were probably the best AR characters. Why? Maybe it’s the extinct factor that makes it so.
Never been near killer whales, so this is a treat for the mommy.
It’s like being in a zoo, minus the cages.
Who wouldn’t want baby elephant nearby to play with?
After enjoying the AR characters, we went to the food court to contribute to the #poutinewithpurpose event.
April 12 -20, 2019 is a 7-day event wherein every poutine sold in any of the participating restaurants provides a simple, healthy meal to a youth in need through Mealshare charity partners! So go and enjoy poutine while helping a soul in need.
