Trust me on this, I am no religious person. It is hard to persuade me to go to Church regularly every Sunday. I don’t believe in everything the Church says though I do believe in a Supreme Being. There are times though, that a simple song, when sung so beautifully, makes me believe in such things so strongly. Such proves, the power of music.
The Choir is world renowned Philippine Madrigal Singers. They’ve won many awards around the world and still continues to bless humanity with their gift of heavenly voices to soothe our souls.
It’s time to play a sad sad song. Love songs ending in heart aches, unrequited loves, someone saying goodbye, there are many many sad songs out there. I found this one as one of the best sad songs I’ve ever heard as the story behind it is very tragic.
The story came from Tsubasa Chronicles, a popular anime series.
A Princess from a far kingdom has lost her memory from a powerful magic of a recently discovered ancient remains near their kingdom. Her memories took the form of white, angel-like feathers and scattered throughout different worlds. Her childhood bestfriend, who also happens to be a love interest, vowed to do all he can do bring the memories of the Princess back. Otherwise, the Princess will loose her life.
Seeking the help of a dimensional witch, the witch agreed to aid in reclaiming the Princess’ memories with a price. The price is for the Princess to have no recollection of her time with her bestfriend even when she regains all her memories. Her bestfriend agreed to this and the witch provided them the means to travel through different worlds.
As their journey goes, the Princess will one at a time regain her memories but in her dreams, in her memories and in her heart, she feels something is missing and try as she might to remember, all her visions consists of empty spaces or silhouettes of a figure that should have been there. When all the time, he was standing beside her.
These videos consist of the song sung by the Princess in the midst of her longing to know who is the figure behind her dreams and memories.
